CONPURA CONSTEP SCREEN

The CONPURA ConStep screen is designed to capture and separate solids in a wastewater stream. The whole unit is manufactured in stainless steel and is fully encased.

The screen design consists of parallel, step-shaped lamellas. The wastewater passes between the lamella openings, while oversized solids remain on the face of the lamellas and gradually form a filter mat which further enhances the separation efficiency.

Once the continued clogging affects the pre-set water level differences sufficiently in the channel before and after the screen the filter mat is lifted upwards stepwise. The stepwise, lifting is providing for a further dewatering of the separated solids before its final discharge. The large open area of the lamellas offers a high hydraulic capacity and a low head loss.

The CONPURA ConStep screen is designed for installation in channels and are available with the slot widths 3 mm and 6 mm. The standard sizes are with screen widths from 190 mm to 1600 mm and up to 2245 mm discharge height.

They are made in stainless steel material AISI 304 or AISI 316 and are fully encased with opening doors made in aluminium. There is also a Ø 100 mm ventilation outlet.

The screening lamellas are 2.5 mm thick and step-shaped of which every second are permanently fixed and every second are fixed to a movable frame. The unique fixing arrangement allows for an easy exchange of individual lamella blades, should the need arise. The drive system for the movable frame with its lamella blades is produced through the gear motor which is linked to a shaft driving the movable lamella blade frame. The upwards lifting speed is 2.4 m/min. No moving parts are in contact with water.

This channel screen is supplied as a complete unit to provide for a simple installation at the site.

When lacking a channel for the installation the screen could be supplied in a stainless steel tank with an inlet connection for the pump feed.

The upper support is made with a pivot which allows lifting of the screen for inspection and maintenance. Such a lifting device can be included as an optional equipment

Pause position switch and an electronic overload protection are integrated as standard in the delivery. Start and stop of the screen is preferably operated on pre-set level differences before and after the screen or at water level upfront the screen.
