ROTO-SIEVE ROTARY SLUDGE THICKENERS
| The Roto-Sieve rotary sludge thickener consists of a rotating perforated drum with an internally mounted transport screw which transports the separated solids out of the drum. The drum rotates on trunnion wheels and is operated by a cog gear motor. The incoming water is fed into the drum by means of an inlet pipe which distributes the water over a large area of the drums inside.
|
The rotary sludge thickeners are completely encased with detachable splash guards and may be equipped with a ventilation connection to establish a more hygienic working environment in the room where the screens are located. Larger Roto-Sieve rotary sludge thickeners are available with an overflow system. By adding polymer to bio or mixed sludge, a Roto-Sieve rotary sludge thickener can dewater the sludge from 1-2% DS to 4-8% DS. This will save money on less transports or by using a lower capacity belt press. |
